Jason Foreman, better known as DJ Addiction has been prominent on the breakbeat dance scene for many years. Having originally started Djing in 1991 at the legendary 'Eclipse' (midlands) club, he went on to become a regular DJ at the seminal clubnight 'Speed' in London and is now one of the influential 'Groove Connection' DJs.
Currently Addiction is resident at Fabio's top London clubnight 'Swerve' and he's in big demand for various gigs around the UK as well as Europe.
In addition to DJing, Addiction records for many of the UK's larger d&b labels; 'Senses' featured on LTJ Bukems 'Earth Volume 2' album, and three of Jasons tracks were released on the 'Promised Land' CD issued via DeeJay Recordings.
DJ Addicton was first brought to Moving Shadow's attention by Carlito when he appeared on the acclaimed compilation Trans-Central Connection (AShadow 7) with the track 'Jazzman'. Following on from this he also put together the mix CD for Moving Shadow's sequel 'Trans-Central Connection 2' (AShadow 11) where he gave us the track 'Tempo'. 'Bodyswerve' (AC007), is Addiction's first full 12" release on Moving Shadow and was released in late June 1998.
Most recently, Jason has received excellent reviews for the track 'Walk In Time / Live At The Jazz Club' on Partisan Recordings, and coming up is a joint venture with Carlito,
(of Guardians Dalliance), called 'Future Elements' - this time on Fabio's 'Creative Source' imprint. All this and a full time job makes Jason one of the hardest working Djs in London. Despite this, he's one of those people who you know are doing it purely for the love of music. Refreshing!
