Carlito is one of the three members of Guardians of Dalliance and the man
responsible for compiling the Trans-Central Connection compilation series for
Moving Shadow Records.
His talents don't end there however, he's been active on the music scene for many years... Carlito (James Mitton), first started writing tracks back in 94 with Tim Grantham and Ian Scott as Essence of Aura, which they put out through 'Outstanding Records', their own label. Almost simultaneously Carlito started writing tracks for Fabio's 'Creative Source' imprint, and soon after Essence of Aura were brought to the attention of
Moving Shadow A&R, and duly signed up for a number of releases including the
'2 on 1' series, 'Northern Lights', and 'So This Is Love'.
When Ian Scott moved to the United States the break-up of Essence was inevitable and Carlito sought a new direction by teaming up with Mike Hall and vocalist Sophie Perks to form the Guardians Of Dalliance. Their first release 'Laid Up' (Shadow 94) came out in 96 followed by 'The Look' (Shadow 112) in 97.

The first 'Trans-Central Connection' (AShadow 7) was released in November 96 to much critical acclaim, and the second 'Trans-Central Connection II' (AShadow 11) is already receiving excellent reviews.
With one eye on the future, Carlito is currently recording some superb jazzy rollers with the compilation 'Diffusion Rooms' as well as work on the Guardians of Dalliance debut album, both of which are lined up for release on the Moving Shadow label during 1999.
