Release date: July 97 (no date given)

Format: LP, CD, MC.

This album came out just as Moving Shadow issued it's 100th release, and serves as a reminder of the labels past achievements as well as heralding the newer artists who will take the label into its 200th release. The first CD contains predominantly unreleased material spanning founder artists and newer recruits - all people who have contributed enormously to the status now enjoyed by the label. The second consists of landmarks from the more recent catalogue (since 1995) - the Desert Island Discs of any breakbeat aficionado, the building blocks of our reputation. We chose to leave earlier material off as we intend to do the best of that era at a later date. Finally, a third bonus CD completes the package, specially mixed by Rob and including his personal notes on what each track meant to him. In tandem with this is the mix offered by his musical partner and alter ego, Goldie.

The first CD opens in spectacular style with their very special tribute to The House of The Shadows, 'The Shadow', the international chart buster and seminal track released at the end of April 97. The version here is as interpreted by Rick Smith of Underworld. Later in the selection comes the flipside to the two Grandaddies of Drum 'n' Bass, 'Distorted Dreams' by young whippersnapper Dominic Angas (of Dom & Roland and Current Affairs) and Rob.
